Plassey, Ramnager Sugar Factory Railway
The 'Ramnager Cane and Sugar Company Ltd' opened a sugar factory in 1937-38 at Plassey, Nadia District [1].
The records show that a 2ft/610mm narrow gauge(NG) was operational at this factory[1].
The factory was reported to be in a very run-down condition in 2006, as seen from the photographs[2] and YouTube video by Rob Dickinson [3]. There was no evidence of any NG reailway in use only a few Steam Stationary Engines dating from c.1937.
