'''Mîrzâ Muhammad Sirâj-ud-Daulah (1733-1757)''' was Nawab of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa. He resented the increasing power of the British in Bengal and attempted to drive them out by capturing [[Loss of Calcutta 1756|Calcutta]]. He was defeated at the [[Battle of Plassey]] following which he was captured by Mir jafar's troops and executed.
