'''John Keane, 1st Baron Keane, GCB, GCH (1781-1844)''', was a British soldier who came to India in 1833 as Commander-in-Chief of the [[Bombay Presidency]]. He commanded the Army of the Indus in the [[1st Afghan War]]. He was Commander-in-Chief of the [[Bombay Presidency]]. Due to his volatile character he was denied appointment as Commander-in-Chief in India.
