Orphan schools were established at Vizagapatum about the year 1830, as an asylum for the children and descendants of the men of the European veterans at the station<ref>idem [http://books.google.com/books?id=tHQIAAAAQAAJ&pg=PA368 page 368]</ref>.This appears to indicate that by this time, the headquarters were at Vizagapatum.
