The '''Thanesar-Kaithal Railway'''was a branch line of [[Delhi-Umballa-Kalka Railway]](DKR). The DKR Company signed a contact in 1909 with the Government of India([[Government of India |GoI]])GoI for the construction and working of the Thanesar-Kaithal Railway line . This branch was operating in 1912 making Kaithal an important trading centre.
