The '''Masharak-Thawe Extension Railway'''Worked was owned by the Government of India([[Government of India |GoI]]) and worked by the [[Bengal and North-Western Railway]](B&NWR). The metre gauge([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]) line ran from [[Masharak]] to [[Thawe]], a distance of 39 miles(qv62km); and extended the [[Chapra]] to [[Masharak]] line that had been completed in 1910.  The Mashrak-Thawe Extension Railway was merged into the [[Oudh and Tirhut Railway]](O&TR(qv) , on 1st January 1943.
