'''Mysore-Bangalore Railway''', opened 1881-82 was the original section of [[Mysore State Railway]](MSR) owned by the [[Princely states|Princely ]][[Mysore State]] Durbar.
The railway was transferred to the [[Madras and Southern Mahratta Railway]](M&SMR) in 1924 <ref name=name/>. The M&SMR prior to 1907 being the MSR.
