The '''Shoranur-Nilambur Railway''' was a branch line of the [[South Indian Railway]](SIR), a single line broad gauge([[Rail_gauge#Broad_Gauge|BG]]) railway of 41 miles(66 km) length running from [[Shoranur]] Junction to [[Nilambur]].
The line was opened in 1927 in stages: from Shoranur to Angadipuram on 3 February, on to Vaniyambalam on 3 August, reaching Nilambur on 26 October.
