The '''Gaekwar's Petlad Railway''' was opened in May 1890 between [[Petlad]] and [[Anand]], a distance of 13 miles(21km). It was a broad gauge([[Rail_gauge#Broad_Gauge|BG]]) line and worked by Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway(BB&CIR).
