With this success in mind a further line was proposed from [[Maheji|Mhyjee (later named Maheji)]] a station on the [[Great Indian Peninsula Railway ]](GIPR) to th esite of the Mhyjee Fair a distance of 3½ miles from the station. Construction time 2 weeks. It may only have been for the fair and as a working demonstration. <ref name=Graces/>
