The [[Palghat Branch Line]] was a short 2½ mile(8km4km) broad gauge([[Rail_gauge#Broad_Gauge|BG]]) line to [[Palghat]], opened in 1888
The line branched from Palakkad Junction(Olavakode) on the [[Madras Railway]] which became the [[South Indian Railway]] BG '[[Jalarpet-Mangalore Mainline]]'
