In January 2017 many (but not all) of the book files, from the then Digital Library of India were uploaded to the Internet Archive (Archive.org). An example of the URL for an Internet Archive book file is https://archive.org/details/in.ernet.dli.2015.97227
Noted in October 2020, files are currently being uploaded to the Archive.org which are files from the previous Digital Library of India. An example of the URL for an Archive.org book file is https://archive.org/details/dli.ernet.238435
===DLI history===
<br>September 2017. Further DLI books appeared to have been delated from Archive.org, and the collection was renamed the "Public Library of India" Collection.
<br> c September 2018. DLI website is available with reduced content, with no books published after 1900. It is now necessary to register to download books.
<br> c October 2020. Files originating from DLI are being uploaded to Archive.org. These appear to be files which were not previously uploaded.
