Archive.org Books to Borrow/Lending Library. He was initially in France with Calgary’s 31st Battalion, Canadian Second Division, (infantry) then transferred to the 6th Canadian Brigade Trench Mortar Battery. He subsequently joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Siberia, arriving in Vladivostok January 1919. He later became a university professor specialising in Russian history.
