The account in the Google Books link seems to indicate that there was a victorious encounter at Sirsa (not found) which enabled Walpole to cross the Ramaganga at Allahganj without a battle. Later on though the text refers to his victory at Allahganj.--Sy 08:00, 2 June 2008 (PDT)
