Battles & Actions in British India 1600-1900 gives Date as 9 November 1846, War as 2nd Sikh War and Opposing Commander as Immam-ud-Din. Kashmir was taken away from the Sikhs at the end of the 1st Sikh War by the Treaty of Lahore on 9 March 1846. Immam-ud-Din was a governor of Kashmir at the time. 2nd Sikh War was 1848-9.
