1905 Civil List records the following from the Public Works Department - State Railways being deployed to the SIR :–
- William Hanbury Pettingall Sherman Executive Engineer, ‘1889, on loan to South Indian Railway Company’ [1].
- Theophilus Michell Executive Engineer, ‘1891-92, on loan to South Indian Railway Company’ [2].
- Archibald Douglas Graham Shelley Major R.E., Executive Engineer, ‘from 1895, on loan to South Indian Railway Company’ [3].
