The Central India Agency, Bhopal Agency were responsible for the Rajgarh District [1]
The Public Works Department of the Agency in Nov 1865 laid 2 miles(3.2km) of 'John Fowler' portable tramway for the transport of road stone from a quarry to the building site for the construction of the Biaora to Sehore Road Construction. In three months 82,000 cubic feet (2,320 cubic metres) of stone was moved [2].
