The railway was later worked by the [[Bhavnagar State Railway]] which was a metre gauge([[Rail_gauge_#Metre_Gauge|MG]]) network.

Kathiawar State Railway

There are records that the give this as the title used from 1879-91 to describe the railway from Wadhwan on the south side of the Bhogawo River (facing Surendranager ) to the docks at Bhavnagar, this was a metre gauge(MG) line that opened in December 1880[1], also known as the Surendranagar-Bhavnagar Railway[2]

This became the start of the Bhavnagar State Railway [3]
