Maladevi Dam and Tank Construction Tramway

A dam and reservoir project on the Pravara River near Nasik was built in 1901-02. By the Bombay Presidency Public Works Department. A hand worked tramway of unknown gauge was used on the project. W L Strange, the Engineer-in-Charge wrote a treatise on such projects using Maladevi as an example entitled “Indian Storage Reservoirs with Earthen Dams” first published in Calcutta in 1904 [1] [2].
