  • 1694 renamed The Queen Consort's Own Regiment of Dragoons
  • 1714 renamed The King's Regiment of Dragoons
  • 1751 renamed the 3rd (King's Own) Regiment of Dragoons
  • 1818 renamed 3rd (The King's Own) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons
  • 1861 renamed the 3rd (The King's Own) Hussars
  • 1921 renamed the 3rd The King's Own Hussars
  • 1958 amalgamated with 7th Queen's Own Hussars to form The Queen's Own Hussars
