Known as 11th Rajputs
Chronology
Following the Indian Mutiny the Bengal Army was restructured and the 70th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry was reformed as the 11th Bengal Native Infantry.
- 1861 became 11th Bengal Native Infantry
- 1885 became 11th Bengal Infantry
- 1897 became 11th (Rajput) Bengal Infantry
- 1901 became 11th Regiment of Rajput Infantry
- 1922 amalgamated with the 2nd Queen Victoria's Own Rajput Light Infantry, 4th Prince Albert Victor's Rajputs, 7th Duke of Connaught's Own Rajputs, 8th Rajputs, and 16th Rajputs (The Lucknow Regiment) and became 5th Battalion 7th Rajput Regiment
- 1947 allocated to India on Partition and renamed the Rajput Regiment
