- 1820 raised as the 2nd (Marine) Battalion, 12th Regiment of Bombay Native Infantry
- 1824 became the 24th Regiment of Bombay Native Infantry
- 1885 became the 24th Regiment of Bombay Infantry
- 1891 became the 24th (Baluchistan) Regiment of Bombay Infantry
- 1895 became the 24th (Duchess of Connaught's Own Baluchistan) Regiment of Bombay Infantry
- 1901 became the 24th (Duchess of Connaught's Own Baluchistan) Bombay Infantry
- 1903 became the 124th (The Duke of Connaught's Own) Baluchistan Infantry
- 1922 became the 1st (Duchess of Connaught's Own) Bn/10th Baluch Regiment
- 1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition
