The FILR was one of several small narrow gauge concerns owned and worked by Martin's Light Railways, a management company based in Calcutta. [1]
According to IRFCA, the line operated independently until 1986 when it was taken over by Indian Railways and closed. Subsequently, according to Wikipedia, the line has been converted to broad gauge and connects to the main Delhi line. [2] [3] [4]
