1857 raised as 7th Regiment of Punjab Infantry from loyal elements of the 2nd and 7th Punjab Police Battalions
1861 became 19th Bengal Native Infantry
1864 became 19th (Punjab) Bengal Native Infantry
1885 became 19th (Punjab) Bengal Infantry
1901 became 19th Punjab Infantry
1922 became 1st/14th Punjab Regiment
1947 allocated to Pakistan on Partition
