13th Frontier Force Rifles was formed in 1922 by amalgamation of five existing regiments and consisted of five regular battalions.
- 1st Battalion: see 1st Regiment of Infantry, Punjab Frontier Force. Known as 55th Coke's Rifles
- 2nd Battalion: see 2nd Regiment of Infantry, Punjab Frontier Force. Known as 56th Punjab Rifles
- 4th Battalion: see 4th Regiment of Infantry, Punjab Frontier Force. Known as 57th Wilde's Rifles
- 5th Battalion: see 5th Regiment of Infantry, Punjab Frontier Force. Known as 58th Vaughan's Rifles
- 6th Battalion: see 6th Regiment of Infantry, Punjab Frontier Force. Known as 59th Scinde Rifles
