1854 raised as the 3rd Madras (European) Regiment
1842 renamed the 3rd Madras (European) Infantry
1858 taken into the British Army
1862 renamed 108th Regiment of Foot
1881 amalgamated with the 27th (Inniskilling) Regiment of Foot to form The Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers
1968 merged with the Royal Ulster Rifles and the Royal Irish Fusiliers and became the Royal Irish Rangers
