Synopsis
Sir Robert Sale attacked and demolished the forts of Ali Khan, a chief in Kohistan. Captain Edward Conolly, 6th Light Infantry, was killed in the assault. He was the brother of Arthur Connolly, imprisoned and executed in Bokhara, and Captain John Conolly who died a hostage in Kabul.
