- 1777 raised in Philadelphia as the Volunteers of Ireland
- 1779 became the 2nd American Regiment (Volunteers of Ireland)
- 1782 became the 105th Regiment of Foot
- 1784 disbanded
3rd Raising
- 1794 raised in Leeds as the 105th Regiment of Foot
- 1795 disbanded
