Gora Kabristan is Karachi's largest and only remaining British era civilian cemetery.
Orgin of name
literally means the graveyard of the 'fair skinned' which reference was to the British occupants of Sind.
Graves
The graves also now house local christians & those of chinese origin. Tombstones are articulate and some are positively works of art.
Location
It is located on Shahrah-e-Faisal, earlier known as the Drigh Road mentioned by T.E.Lawrence in his tome, Seven Pillars of Wisdom.
