The Kaunia-Kurigram Railway (KKR) was a 2ft 6in/762mm narrow gauge(NG) line that extended the Northern Bengal State Railway eastwards from Kaunia to Teesta, and then to Kurigram. Between 1928-1929, the Kaunia-Teesta section was converted to metre gauge(MG) and that from Teesta-Kurigram Railway section to broad gauge(BG).
