  • 1861; Appointed to Public Works Department of the (GoI)being posted to the Allahabad Division, where he was engaged for some years on important works. In 1867 promoted to Executive Engineer.
  • 1875; Northern Bengal State Railway,for the last five months of that year officiated as Superintendent of Works of the Nattore Division, then in various divisions until December, 1878 becoming Superintendent of Works. From 1880 until March, 1881 on special duty in the Julpigooree Division, then appointed Divisional Superintendent of District Works for Bhagulpore Division.
