Their main offices were at Lyons Range, Calcutta with offices in Bombay, Karachi, Colombo and Chittagong. Their UK based company was 'James Finlay & Co' , Glasgow. They had interests in the tea, cotton,jute, indigo shipping and insurance industries [1].
