- 1727 became The Queen's Own Regiment of Dragoons
- 1751 became the 7th (The Queen's Own) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons
- 1807 became the 7th (The Queen's Own) Regiment of (Light) Dragoons (Hussars)
- 1861 became the 7th (Queen's Own) Hussars
- 1921 retitled as 7th Queen's Own Hussars
- 1958 amalgamated with the 3rd The King's Own Hussars to form the The Queen's Own Hussars
- 1993 amalgamated with The Queen's Royal Irish Hussars to form The Queen's Royal Hussars (The Queen's Own and Royal Irish)
