The Oudh and Tirhut Railway (O&TR) was formed on 1 January 1943 from the merger of the Bengal and North-Western and Rohilkund and Kumaon Railways.
History
On 14 April 1952, the O&TR was amalgamated with the Assam Railway and the Kanpur-Achhnera (Cawnpore-Agra) section of the Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway to form North Eastern Railway, one of the zones of Indian Railways.
