Alexandra Bridge

The railway bridge on the river Chenab is situated between Wazirabad and Gujrat, Punjab (now in Pakistan). Construction commenced in 1871 and the bridge was inaugurated by Edward VII the King-Emperor when he was Prince of Wales in 1876. [1]

The bridge, constructed by the Punjab Northern State Railway(PNSR), provided a vital link in the Lahore to Peshawur line, 270 miles(430km)
