1698 disbanded
1701 raised again as Viscount Charlemont's Regiment of Foot also known by the names of eleven other colonels until 1751
1751 became 36th Regiment of Foot
1782 became 36th (the Herefordshire) Regiment of Foot
1881 united with 29th (Worcestershire) Regiment of Foot, to become 2nd Battalion The Worcestershire Regiment
1970 amalgamated with The Sherwood Foresters (Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Regiment) to become Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment
2004 amalgamated with the 22nd (Cheshire) Regiment and the Staffordshire Regiment to form the new Mercian Regiment
