Mayavaram Mutupet Railway
The Mayavaram Mutupet Railway opened with a section of 31 miles (50km) in 1890 [1] and completed in 1894.
The line was owned by Tanjore District Board and worked by the South Indian Railway(SIR) [2]

Personnel
William Michell was deployed from the Railway Branch of the Public Works Department, 1891on loan to the South Indian Railway Company, to take executive charge.
