Chronology

  • 1758 second battalion of the 31st Regiment of Foot became 70th (Glasgow Lowland) Regiment of Foot
  • 1825 became 70th (The Surrey) Regiment
  • 1881 amalgamated with 31st Regiment of Foot and became 2nd Bn the East Surrey Regiment
