Dost Mohammed
Dost Mohammad Khan (1793-1863), was an Afghan tribal leader and father of Mohammed Akbar. He was chief of the Barakzai tribe and Amir of Ghazni and Kabul. In the 1st Afghan War he was deposed by the British and went into exile. He was restored to power after the war.
