The Ranaghat-Murshidabad Branch Railway was a branch of the Eastern Bengal Railway that opened in 1905. The line took- off from the EBR main line at Ranaghat and ran northward through the districts of Nadia and Murshidabad to its terminus at Lalola Ghat on the Ganges. [1]
