Godhra-Ratlam-Nagda Railway

The Godhra-Ratlam-Nagda Railway was a broad gauge(BG) line first opened in 1893 with the section from Ratlam, 1894 and Nagda 1895. [1] [2]

The railway was worked by Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway(BB&CIR) and finally merged into BB&CIR.

An on-line search of the IOR records relating to this railway [3] gives the following: -

  • L/F/8/13/984 “Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway Coy Contract as to taking over and working the Godhra-Rutlam Railway. Supplemental to the contract dated 24th September 1884; 1893”
