  • 1890 became the 4th (Prince Albert Victor's) Bengal Infantry
  • 1897 became the 4th (Prince Albert Victor's) Rajput Regiment, Bengal Infantry
  • 1901 became the 4th (Prince Albert Victor's) Rajput Infantry
  • 1903 became the 4th Rajputs
  • 1922 became the 2nd/7th Rajput Regiment
  • 1947 allocated to India on Partition
