- 1897 became the 4th (Prince Albert Victor's) Rajput Regiment, Bengal Infantry
- 1901 became the 4th (Prince Albert Victor's) Rajput Infantry
- 1903 became the 4th Rajputs
- 1922 became the 2nd/7th Rajput Regiment
- 1947 allocated to India on Partition
