Bar Hapjan Tea Tramway System

'Bar Hapjan Tea Tramway System' in the Tinsukia District of Assam at Dekhari is the name we have selected that is identified from the maps of the area [1] which provides the following information:-

The tramway system, with a length of about 6 miles(9km), of unknown gauge, crossed the Dibru-Sadiya Railway between Bar Hapjan and Hansara[[ stations.

The Tramway served:-

  • 'Dhoedaam Tea Garden', owned by the 'Pabhojan Tea Co Ltd'
  • 'Hansara Tea Garden', owned by the 'Doom Dooma Tea Co Ltd'
