The Faridpur Branch Railway was a Eastern Bengal Railway(EBR) branch line. The line opened in 1898-99, with a line length of 14 miles(23km) connected to the EBR Eastern Section mainline at Pachooria Junction via Shivarampore to Faridpur. The broad gauge(BG) line opened in 1898-99 [1].

It was a branch of the Poradaha Branch Railway that had been constructed by Northern Bengal State Railway(NBSR) but worked by EBR, later apparently taken over by EBR c.1913
