Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala, GCB GCSI CIE FRS (1810-1890) was a British soldier who came to India in 1842 to command the army of the of the Bombay Presidency. He was commander in the Sind Campaign after which he became Commander-in-Chief in India.
