In the Indian Mutiny the 32nd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry did not rebel and, in the ensuing disbandment of Bengal Army regiments, the 32nd became the third most senior.
- 1861 became the 3rd Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry
- 1885 became the 3rd Regiment of Bengal Infantry
- 1901 became the 3rd Brahman Infantry
- 1903 became the 3rd Brahmans
- 1922 disbanded
