This was an event during the 1st Afghan War

During General Nott's occupation of Kandahar there was frequent harassment by the surrounding tribes. Col Wymer had a roving commission to deal with this and on 25 March thoroughly defeated Ackter Khan and his allies at the Baba Wullee Pass.
