Summary
After his victory at the Action at Chandernagore, Forde moved to confront the forces landed by the Dutch fleet. He met them at Biderra between Chandernagore and Chinsura and gained a decisive victory. Forde occupied Chinsura and Mir Jafar's forces arrived to side with the victors.
