Messrs. Lee, Watson and Ayton, Construction Contractors were railway contractors engaged for the construction of the important branch from Bhusawal to Nagpur of the Great Indian Peninsula Railway(GIPR) from 1863-1867.
One of the agents on the construction was William Coupar Rennie, who for two years, 1865-67, was employed by Messrs. Lee, Watson and Ayton on the construction of the Nagpur branch of the GIPR [1].
